Web Development and Data Analysis for UCSB Student Health ITS
Web Design
I redesigned the UC Santa Barbara Student Health Website for the Information Technology Services. I used HTML, CSS, and Javascript, and converted pages into a WordPress Theme for content management.
You can take a look at the website here.
Data Dashboards
I also built dashboards for Chaperone Auditing, Documentation, and Schedule Tracking for Student Health ITS using Power BI and SQL to help streamline key processes. In this role, I worked closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and non-technical staff. Here, I learned the importance of making data easy to understand and use. One of my main goals was to design dashboards that were both clear and functional, allowing users to get the information they needed quickly without requiring much training.
A challenge was making sure the dashboards were simple to navigate but still offered detailed insights. I spent time refining the user interface to strike a balance between clarity and depth, helping users from various teams interact with the data more effectively.
This experience also helped me improve my ability to present data in a way that made sense for different audiences. Overall, working on this project gave me a deeper appreciation for how well-designed data visuals can lead to better decisions and outcomes.
